Here we go again.
Got a new computer.....so seems logical I should make some use of it and blog again. Why the hell not?
QUARINTINE
Been quarantining for the past two weeks now. The kids love it. Not a single complaint...is something you will never hear me say. I get it, it sucks. For the record it sucks for all of us. But you know what? It would sure suck a lot less if you all would stop complaining.😂 (Truth be told...they really haven't been that bad)
Honestly, I haven't hated this. A forced reset button. Back to the basics. Slow down. Spending time all together as a family has been nice. Eating meals together has been nice. The dish washer is constantly full...a sign of 7 people at home and three meals a day. Turns out I'm actually pretty good at this dinner thing. Our previous schedule usually meant we weren't even home at dinner time. But now, we have nowhere to go, so dinner! (good news is...it was never my fault)
Trying to keep a regular routine of exercise can be challenging. I'm impressed with Graycie and Tyson tho. They seem to be pretty self motivated. Running, basketball, and weight training at home. Wish I had their young bodies. They make it look easy. Meanwhile, Steve and I are over here running while listing all the body parts that are either stiff or aching.
We try to get out of the house when we can, either go somewhere to explore or hike, or just go for a drive. Yesterday, me, Steve, Tyson and Tate went to get some Jamba Juice and go for a drive. It didn't last long tho, because three of the four people in the car had to take poop fairly quickly in. Sounded like the horn section of the band with all the tooting going on. Tyson informed us repeatedly that he had to take a dump. Following Tysons pleas Tate exclaims, "I gotta take a shit!" Glad I had finished my jamba, or it might've ended up on the inside of the windshield. We all laughed so hard, while trying to explain to Tate that he shouldn't use that kind of language. I don't think he took me too seriously because he whispered the word a few more times, until I threatened hot sauce, and then we were good. Why is it so funny when kids swear?
